Last year in my book recommendations post I set a goal to read 35 books in 2020. Little did I know I would surpass that goal by reading 51 books! Though to be honest, now that the holidays have passed I haven’t read anything this month. I hope that by sharing 21 books you should read in 2021 it will inspire you, and me, to pick up a book. As an avid reader, I’m always looking for a new book. I love any genre but last year I gobbled up fantasy books. You’ll find quite a few in this list.
Grab a coffee or tea and check out my picks for the top 21 books you should read in 2021. Each one of these books has touched me in some way. I can’t wait for you to enjoy them!

Reading hasn’t always been a big part of my life. But that changed back in 2018 when I set an intention to read ten books that year. In 2019 I read twenty-five books and in 2020 51! Of course, it’s not about the number but it is cool to see the progression over time. This year I don’t have a goal for the number of books to read. Instead, I’ll focus on quality over quantity. If you’re curious these are my 5-star rated books over the years. What about you? Are you setting a goal to read more in 2021? Let me know your book suggestions in the comments! I’d love to hear about them.
