The other day as I was rolling out my yoga mat and I realized how grimy it was looking. All those hot yoga classes had really taken a toll on it. Luckily I had all the supplies on hand to make my natural DIY yoga mat spray. I shared this recipe a while back on The Best Yoga Mats Recommended by Yoga Instructors, but I felt like it deserved its own post.
Making your own yoga mat cleaner is easier than you think. It can be done in under five minutes using simple ingredients. You’ll need…
Spray Bottle – it doesn’t need to be fancy, I even reused a hair product spray.
Witch Hazel – a special distilled water that has antibacterial properties.
Essential Oils – essential oils make the yoga spray smell 10x better! My favorite scents are lavender and peppermint.
Tea Tree Oil – tea tree oil has natural antiseptic and antiviral properties. If you don’t have it on hand it’s okay to leave out!
Water – to dilute the witch hazel and essential oils and make the spray more long-lasting.
