Who doesn’t need a little self-care now and then? These self-care gifts are catered towards people that need to spend time on themselves. We all know that person that always gives, gives, gives and yet does little for herself in return. Practicing self-care is one of the best things you can do for your health and well-being. When you’re shopping for holiday gifts why not look for ones that promote self-care? These gift ideas will encourage the receiver to relax, slow down, and hopefully enjoy taking time for themselves.

One-of-a-kind Ceramics
One of the first self-care gifts I thought to put on this gift guide was ceramic mugs. Pottery has always fascinated me. The colors, technique, and simplicity. One day I hope my house is filled with unique looking ceramic cups and dishes. Until then I will admire them from my computer screen.
Freckled Pottery
This mother of three makes beautiful freckled pottery. Make sure to check out her Instagram and take a peek at some of her newest pieces.
Mimi Ceramics
Mimi Ceramics is based in Portland, Oregon. She finds inspiration in making practical and functional pieces while focusing on color and pattern. Each piece is hand thrown on the wheel, hand-glazed and painted, then kiln fired.
Tea
Tea as a gift? Why yes. Tea is always a great gift, especially paired with a ceramic mug. Wink. Wink.
First, look and see if there are any local tea shops. I always try to support local businesses. Another great option I love is Numi Tea. I’ve been meaning to try their turmeric chai. I’m more of a chai and black tea fan, but there are plenty more options for you to try!
Cocokind Sticks
Ahh, Cocokind. This organic-natural-based skincare brand can have all of my money. Among their long list of amazing products, the skincare sticks are some of the best. They will have you looking and feeling fresh all day long. Use them on your lips, under your eyes, and as a spot treatment for blemishes. Btw you can get all three for just $25!!
- Turmeric: Turmeric spot treatment helps tackle inflammation and hyperpigmentation. Packed with turmeric, ginger, and tea tree oil, this stick keeps breakouts at bay.
- MyMatcha: MyMatcha is MY FAVORITE. This stick needs to be incorporated into your skincare routine ASAP – whether at home or on-the-go! It can be applied under the eyes for puffiness and dark circles while also being used as a daily lip balm. I use mine all the time. So much so that I own two. One for the house and one for on-the-go!
- Macabeet: The macabeet stick provides a subtle tint to either your lips and cheeks using beetroot pigment. I haven’t tried this one yet but I’m all for Makeup + skincare products!
Jade Roller
I’m a little late on this trend. Jade rolling is not currently part of my nightly routine, but it soon will be! I may or may not know my sister is gifting me one for Christmas. Do you like jade rolling? Let me know in the comments!
I’m going to let Cosmopolitan recommend the best brands, they definitely know more about this subject than I do.
Yoga Mat
Yoga has changed my life. You can read all about my yoga journey in this post. Gifting someone a yoga mat has to be the ultimate self-care gift. I recommend Manduka above all other yoga mat brands. They are AMAZING. Read more about them in my post here…

Candles
Honestly, I think two of the most gifted items of all time are candles and socks. Am I wrong?? Candles are one of those things I love, but for some reason won’t buy for myself. Wait, who am I kidding? I know why I won’t buy them (one candle cost like $18??) I can’t bring myself to pay that price at this time in my life. BUT. I will gladly accept candles as a gift.
Some of my favorite small-business candle brands include…
Queer Candle Company
Moon Goddess Shop
Wu Haus Candle
Perfume
There’s something special about perfume. It can make you feel sexy, relaxed, happy, or all three at once. I’m very picky about my perfume. When I find a brand I like I tend to stick to it. So far, these are my go-to’s.
Lush Solid Perfume: Vanillary
Bon Parfumeur: #301 or #402
Workout Guide
There’s no greater investment than investing in your body and your health. Everyone knows that, yet we somehow still put exercise on the bottom of our to-do list. Rachael from Rachael’s Good Eats created an exercise program called Good Sweat. My sister bought this workout ebook and really enjoyed it!
Rachael explains it best “GOOD SWEAT is here to encourage you to exercise, treat your body right, and stay motivated in a supportive community. Working out shouldn’t be a chore. It should be something to look forward to each day to feel stronger—both mentally and physically—and more confident in your own body!!”

Daily Planner
As an entrepreneur, I’m always writing things down in my notebook and calendar. It’s the only way I can stay on top of all my tasks. So when Mishmash asked me if I wanted to test out their 2020 Planner I was like, hell yeah!
I’m telling you this planner would be the perfect gift. It’s small enough to carry on-the-go, super cute (which is always a bonus), and has plenty of space to write down your weekly to-do’s. Give the gift of organization to people who are like me and desperately need it!
2020 MishMash Planner
Well, that’s the first of my 2019 Gift Guides! I hope this post made you think of someone special that needs a little self-care. Even if that someone is YOU!
