Living in the Southeast has made Atlanta a popular destination for spring break, summer getaways or quick weekend road trips. Even after visiting a number of times I always find new places to explore. This past weekend I stayed at an Airbnb near Grant Park with my Dad, sister, and her best friend. Our weekend was packed with exploring local markets, visiting parks and sampling the famous city cuisine. I wanted to share my favorite spots and must see’s, so I compiled an Atlanta Travel Guide for you.
This first picture is the Airbnb we stayed at during our last trip. It is called the Grant Park Bungalow.
But I also love these two Airbnb’s.
Charming Chandler Park Bungalow & Ponce City Market Getaway
Jeni’s Icecream is one of my favorite creameries’ eating there is such a treat. Sample the Brown Butter Almond Brittle if you ever get the chance, it’s life-changing.
Antico Pizza is a family-run pizzeria near Georgia Tech known for its tasty brick-oven pies. You get to watch the process of them making your pizza from tossing the dough to firing it in their huge brick ovens. Did I mention they’re BYOB? Yep, that’s how awesome this place is.
If you’re interested in fine dining check out Pasta De Pulcinella. Their restaurant is set in a cozy vintage bungalow hidden among the city skyscrapers. Our waiter was hilarious, the food delicious and don’t get me started on the dessert. Lemon sorbet, cannoli’s and tiramisu were the perfect way to end the night.
Ponce City Market
I could spend a whole day at Ponce City Market; it has everything. The market is located in a historic building in Atlanta, with retail shops, restaurants, a food hall, boutiques and offices, and residential units.
Some of my favorite shops/restaurants to check out are Citizen Supply, Ton Ton, and Honeysuckle Gelato.
Piedmont Park
You can use the Beltline to take a short ten-minute walk from Ponce to Piedmont Park. Along the way, you will find bright colored murals by talented local artists.
A word to the wise, always make sure to pay for parking in the city, unless you don’t mind paying a $75 fine and getting your car booted. We were able to laugh it off and now have a funny story and pictures to prove this happened.

April Intentions & Spotify Playlist - The Beauty of Traveling
[…] I spent most of March traveling when I say most. I mean over half the month was spent in nine different states. That has to be a record for me. But it wasn’t the ten-day road trip to Utah that made up most of the traveling; I also visited Atlanta for a weekend with my family which you can read about here. […]
